Sarah Singh

OD, PhD (Vision Science)

Dr. Sarah Singh (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Optometry at the Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry where she also serves as the Director of Research for the Berkeley Vision Institute and is also the co-director of Berkeley's Myopia Control Academy. She enjoys teaching first year OD students about the anatomy of the eye and orbit, expanding the knowledge and clinical skill set of third-year clinicians in our in-house pediatrics clinic, and empowering fourth-year clinicians in the practice of myopia control in our in-house myopia control clinic. When she's not teaching, Dr. Singh spends her time researching pediatric refractive errors including myopia and novel myopia control methods.

Dr. Singh is a past-president of the Alameda and Contra Costa Counties Optometric Society and remains an active member. She is the chair of the California Optometric Association Children's Vision Team, which has developed and released the popular Little EyePods podcast, and is part of the American Optometric Association's Evidence-Based Optometry Committee.
